These terms are an agreement between you and Consort Tech ("we", "us") and govern your use of the TrimByte app and website ("TrimByte"). By using TrimByte you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Not medical advice
TrimByte is a tracking tool, not a medical service. Calorie, macro and exercise numbers are AI-generated estimates based on your photos and inputs, and can be wrong — always review and adjust them. Calorie targets and plans are general guidance derived from published formulas, not personalised medical advice. Consult a qualified professional before making significant changes to your diet or exercise, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, or a history of disordered eating.
2. Eligibility and your account
TrimByte is not intended for users under 13. TrimByte creates an anonymous account on your device to attach your free trial or purchase to. You can optionally link an email and password; keep those credentials safe, as you are responsible for activity on your account. Your food, exercise, water and weight history is stored on your device — if you delete the app without linking an email, your access and history can't be recovered.
3. Free trial
TrimByte offers one free trial per account (currently 3 days, no payment method required). Nothing is charged when the trial ends; you simply choose a plan if you want to continue. We may change the length of the trial for new users at any time.
4. Plans, subscriptions and lifetime purchase
Full access is available through the following plans. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you confirm; the prices below are the current US prices and may vary by country and over time.

- Auto-renewal. Weekly, Monthly and Yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Payment is charged to your App Store, Google Play or Stripe account at confirmation of purchase and at each renewal.
- Cancelling. You can cancel any time: on iOS in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; on Android in Google Play → Subscriptions; on the web from Settings → Manage subscription in TrimByte. Cancelling stops future renewals — you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel a store subscription.
- Lifetime means the commercial lifetime of the TrimByte app, including future updates to it, on the platform family where it was bought; it is not a subscription and never renews.
- Changing plans. Switching between subscription plans is handled by the store and takes effect according to its rules (usually at the next renewal when moving to a cheaper plan, immediately when moving to a more expensive one).
- Refunds. Purchases made in the mobile apps are processed by the App Store or Google Play and refunds follow the store's refund policy — request them from the store. For web purchases processed by Stripe, contact us within 14 days of the charge. Nothing here limits the statutory refund rights of your country.
- Price changes. If we change a subscription price, the store will notify you in advance as its rules require, and you may cancel before the new price applies.
5. Promo and referral codes
Codes are limited offers: they may have usage caps and expiry dates, may be deactivated at any time, have no cash value and cannot be combined. A code applies to the plan you choose when you redeem it; for subscriptions the discounted price is the price that renews. Some codes apply only on the web.
6. Acceptable use
Don't abuse the service: no attempting to bypass the paywall or trial limits, no probing, scraping or overloading our APIs, no reverse-engineering except where the law permits it, and no using TrimByte to break the law or the rights of others. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the service.
7. Photos you submit
You confirm you have the right to the photos you analyze. Photos are processed to generate your nutrition estimate as described in the Privacy Policy and are not stored on our servers. Do not submit photos of other people without their consent.
8. Intellectual property
TrimByte, its design, code and content are owned by Consort Tech or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, subject to these terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from. Your own entries and photos remain yours.
9. Service changes and availability
We may update, change or discontinue features to keep TrimByte working and improving. The AI analysis depends on third-party providers and an internet connection; we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. If we ever discontinue TrimByte entirely, your locally stored data remains on your device and we will give reasonable notice to subscribers.
10. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
TrimByte is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of nutrition estimates. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of TrimByte is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and nothing affects the consumer rights the law gives you.
11. Termination
You can stop using TrimByte and delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete account (remember to cancel any store subscription separately). We may terminate accounts for material breach of these terms.
12. Apple and Google
If you downloaded TrimByte from the App Store, Apple is not a party to these terms and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the app; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Equivalent provisions apply to Google for apps downloaded from Google Play.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and the courts of the Philippines have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and material updates will be noted in the app. Continuing to use TrimByte after an update means you accept the new terms.
